Being a TSA in FE is on another level! having worked in schools as a teacher and STA and made the move to FE I just want to shout out my entire team. Not only do they have to work at GCSE level and above, they also have to support A level, T-level, and BTEC Level 3 courses in areas as diverse as Performing Arts, to Construction, to Hair and Engineering. We have some subject specialists, but in the main learn alongside the learner. All of our learners are High Needs with an EHCP, so SEN expertise is also critical – these guys really are my heroes!
