National Teaching Assistants’ Day exists to recognise those moments. The unseen encouragement. The extra patience. The real difference TAs make every day.
Why was the awareness day created?
National Teaching Assistants’ Day was created by Teaching Personnel in 2012.
After visiting schools and hearing the same phrase again and again, “We couldn’t do this without our TAs”, Teaching Personnel asked a simple question: why isn’t there a day to say thank you?
From that spark, National Teaching Assistants’ Day was born, a day to honour the dedication of TAs that too often goes unseen.
Teaching Personnel works with 12,000 TAs every day across England and Wales. That’s over 4 million lessons being supported by TAs every year!
